Språkresa; festa eller plugga?
Förr trodde jag språkresor var för att verkligen lära sig språket; men nu för tiden åker ungdomar utomlands för att supa sig fulla och inte för att lära sig en ny kultur eller språk.
Jag var 16 när jag åkte till Juan Les Pins för att förbättra min Franska och för att jag orkade inte fixa ett jobb.
Som tur va så lärde jag känna flera Fransmän i JLP och blev bättre på Franska. Dom kunde knappt engelska så man var tvungen att försöka uttrycka sig själv i deras språk. Fransmännen hade en lägenhet precis vid strandpromenaden vilket var riktigt trevligt. Jag och några tjejer lärde känna dessa sköna Fransmän som vi hängde med i 3 veckor; tills vi återvända till Sverige.
Frågan är då; vilket land och språk skulle jag välja nu om jag fick den chansen igen?
Eftersom man har blivit äldre; mognat och tar mer ansvar för sig själv så skulle jag välja St.Petersburg för att förbättra min Ryska som jag läste ett år i Kiev, precis efter studenten. Ryssland är ett spännande land och jag önskade jag hade besökt landet innan jag flyttade från Ukraina. Mor min hade åkt dit flera gånger pga jobbet vilket gav henne chansen att förbättra sin Ryska. BLUEBERRY (http://www.blueberrysprak.nu/studieorter.asp) har tydligen språkkurser i St.Petersburg så om ni är sugna på ett spännande och exotisk språk så välj gärna Ryska!!
Lustigt att man just sitter i Australien och drömmer om att få återigen läsa Ryska...

BBQ, East, East and BBQ
The weekend started off by having a BBQ at a friends' place in Avalon; Surfers. As soon as I drank my 5th glass of wine my boss @ East texted me asking me if I could work that same night and so I did. The following day I met Annie and Therese in Southport for Sushi. I had earlier that day bought my system camera in Runaway Bay.
During the evening I headed off to work which was alot of fun because I had bottle service on the 2nd floor and served helerious people who gave me good tips. Sunday session occured @ Annas place in Broady with BBQ and Mermaid Tavern. I actually don't know why we went there; the musics' really bad but the place is local so it's nice to hang out with real Australians for once.

East Saturday night; 23-04:45 were my working hours. For some reason I was already a bit tired when I got to work; but since they always play my kind of music; I always enjoy work and it's only during the weekend which is good.

Another hectic weekend on the Gold Coast
Saturday night at East until 05:00; one hours' of sleep and Big Day OUt; 13 hours shift. During work I heard Rammstein perform "America". After work I got to see MIA perform which was Big Day Outs' last performance so I was pretty lucky. MIA smoked pot and passed around her joint to her fans which were dancing on the stage for a while..not okej MIA. Apart from that; pretty good performance.
time 2 look 4 a 3 bedroom apartment..
Mathias and his friend are coming around the 8th of febraury and my lease goes out 6th of febraury, so basically next week I'll be in search of a new apartment for my boys and I. I'm really looking forward living with boys =).

 27° Today Frida and I went to the beach between Broadbeach and Surfers Paradise. We managed to stay on the beach 1.5 hours due to the heat! So we gathered our things and walked to the Condor pool where we were accompanied by children and people still celebrating yesturdays festival; Summafielddayze!Tomorrows Fridas' last day and night in Australia so we'll be heading over to the Casino/BBQ and then Billys! x  |
Merry Xmas and a Happy New Year
Celebrating xmas on the Gold Coast was lovely; unfortunetly there was no snow on the ground so my xmas spirit was at stake but once I saw the Swedish xmas table I once again believed in xmas.
Frida and I celebrated a typical Swedish xmas dinner at a friends' place in Main Beach. After the lovely dinner we watched Kalle Anka on youtube Tv and drank Swedish glögg.
The day after we were invited to celebrate xmas day at Patricks' place in Varsity Shores. I cannot recall the last time I drank this much alchohol but it was a fun day as long as it lasted...

Rock Climbing & Abseiling @ Kangaroo Point, Brisbane
Adrenalin! Adrenalin kick!
It's been far too long since I last rock climbed; back during the good old days when I lived in Bulgarian. The time when we went camping in Mayovitza!
Kangaroo point cliffs has good ranges of climbs for beginers and a good practice area for experts. The cliffs are about twenty metres high. As soon as you start climbing you can regard the views of Brisbane city. Since we all climb late at night we hear live music coming across the water which is pretty impressive.
There are BBQ areas there and picnic tables, so you can always prepare a meal with friends after a good climb!
If you miss the adrenalin kick like I did earlier, I'd recommend climbing in Brissy!
